 Mission Statement

The Ambassador Group is an organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church dedicated to meeting the spiritual, social, and lifestyle needs of youth ages 16-20’s by challenging them to experiencing and sharing a personal relationship with Christ, developing a lifestyle fitting their belief system and vocational interest, and providing them with an adequate venue for wholesome development of lifelong friendships.

Aim

The Advent Message to All the World in My Generation

My relationship to Jesus Christ is of such a nature that it compels me to share with any who will receive it, the gospel—the good news of His soon return.

Motto

The Love of Christ Compels Me

I am drawn to Him by His exemplary life, the symbolic act of His crucifixion, His conquering resurrection, and His promise of an earth made new in the pattern of the original creation. The closer I find myself to Him, the closer I find myself identifying with the needs of my fellow human beings.

As ambassadors of Christ, the youth of the Northern Conference of South Africa Adventist Youth are called to be a reflection of God’s love and grace in the world. Through acts of service, evangelism efforts, and intentional relationships with others, our youth serve as ambassadors of hope and transformation in their communities.

The Ambassador Program typically targets youth between the ages of 13 to 17, although age ranges may vary depending on regional or organizational specifications. The program focuses on nurturing spiritual growth, fostering leadership abilities, and encouraging active participation in service and ministry.

Key components of the Ambassador Program often include:

1. Spiritual Development: Providing opportunities for young people to deepen their understanding of the Bible, develop their relationship with God, and grow in their faith through prayer, worship, and study.

2. Leadership Training: Offering workshops, seminars, and mentorship opportunities aimed at developing leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, decision-making, and conflict resolution.

3. Service Projects: Engaging youth in meaningful service projects and community outreach initiatives that address local needs and demonstrate Christ’s love in action.

4. Mission Outreach: Encouraging participation in evangelistic efforts, mission trips, and outreach programs aimed at sharing the gospel and making disciples.

5. Fellowship and Networking: Providing opportunities for young people to connect with peers, build supportive relationships, and collaborate on projects and initiatives that align with the mission and values of the church.

6. Personal Development: Empowering youth to discover their unique talents, gifts, and passions, and encouraging them to use these abilities for the glory of God and the benefit of others.

The Ambassador Program seeks to inspire young people to live out their faith boldly, to serve others selflessly, and to make a positive difference in their communities and the world. Through intentional discipleship, mentorship, and hands-on experience, participants in the Ambassador Program are equipped to become effective leaders and ambassadors for Christ in their spheres of influence.
